Karen Lindstrom

Chief Operating Officer

Karen Lindstrom, COO of Access Healthcare Group, brings over 32 years of nursing experience to her role, including 22 years as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Throughout her career, Karen has witnessed the evolving challenges in healthcare, where patients present with more complex and acute conditions. Despite these challenges, her dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care has never wavered. Karen’s approach to nursing emphasizes getting back to the basics—offering care that focuses on the individual’s needs and well-being. Her extensive experience across various healthcare settings has reinforced her belief in the importance of empathy, effective communication, and holistic care.

In addition to her role as COO, Karen is also a seasoned business leader, owning and managing multiple companies, including a property management firm and an anesthesia business. Her entrepreneurial spirit extends to part ownership in four other companies across diverse industries, such as a sign company, CPA firm, e-commerce business, and an online educational company. Karen’s unique combination of healthcare expertise and business acumen makes her an invaluable asset to AccessHCG, where she plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization’s operations align with its mission to deliver high-quality, compassionate care.

Gordon Hurlbert

Chief Revenue Officer

Gordon Hurlbert, CRO at Access Healthcare Group, is a driving force behind the company’s innovative approach to integrating healthcare services. With a career that began in professional sports healthcare, caring for athletes in MLB, the NHL, and the 1996 Olympics, Gordon has a diverse and extensive background in the medical profession. He later opened two medical facilities in South Florida, conducted research on medical devices, and taught in the physical therapy department at a Connecticut university. Gordon’s journey continued as he established a private home healthcare service and now owns an insurance agency serving the elderly. Through these experiences, Gordon has developed a deep understanding of the importance of managed care frameworks and the critical role of community engagement.

Gordon’s visionary leadership and expertise in business valuation, strategic planning, and healthcare have been instrumental in the seamless integration of various business services within the AccessHCG network. As a trusted advisor, he crafts tailored strategies that maximize business value and ensure sustainable growth for the company. Rachel Gordon

Principal Board Member

Rachel Marano, a board member at Access Healthcare Group, is a seasoned healthcare IT executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience. As the Founder of Pivot Point Consulting, Rachel has worked across all aspects of healthcare IT, leading complex EHR implementations for prominent organizations such as Stanford Healthcare, Advocate, and Lancaster General Health. Her leadership propelled Pivot Point Consulting to significant success, culminating in its acquisition by Vaco in 2016, where she also played a key role in integrating Greythorn. Rachel's expertise is further underscored by her service on the Greater Chicago Chapter HIMSS board, where she held positions including President and Communications Chair. She holds a Bachelor's in Computer Science from the University of Iowa.
